When Will WTOC Savannah Start Reporting Accurately, Like WJCL and Fox

Supposedly WTOC is the Southeast News Leader. Is that right? Well, I for one, beg to differ. Let us set a few facts straight. In their report posted on September 27, 2009 written by WTOC "Staff", they did not report unbiased, factual statements. This may explain why no one took ownership of the report and it was posted by the "staff". WTOC reported that "dozens" showed up. There were at least 300 people at this rally. Some have reported more than this. In fact, if you go to their report in the link at the end of this paragraph, you can look for yourself at the picture the "staff" included and see that there were clearly more than just dozens of people. If this was just a one time mistake I would let this go. However, WTOC has done this before. They have a habit of showing up to our events very early, before most of the crowd arrives, takes pictures and video, and interviews one or possibly two people. They usually leave before the start of the program or shortly after. I ask you, how can you fairly report on an event that way? If you have no intentions of fairly reporting events, then why bother reporting in the first place. Also, while it is true that we are upset about higher taxes, the health care bill, and too many government restrictions, it is more than that. The "staff" would have learned this if they would have hung around a while. We the People are also upset that we have been lied to about the promise of transparency. We the People are upset about our constitutional freedoms being stripped away from us. We the People are upset that our congressmen, that "we" hired, are not listening to us, like John Barrow. We the People are upset that the ones we elected, like John Barrow, will not show up to Town Hall meetings and hear our voices or represent us. We the people are upset that most of the elected congressmen are not even taking the time to read the bills before they sign them. We the People are upset that our Frist Amendment rights are in jeopardy. We the People want our 2nd Amendment rights protected. We the People are scared to death that our government is taking our nation down a socialistic path. So, "staff", to just merely report off of what the very first rally was about, you are not reporting accurately on the rally that took place at Lake Mayer on Sunday Sepetember 27th, 2009. If you would prefer to write about your personal opinions of events or other matters maybe the job for you is "critic". Where are the days when news reporting was exactly that? Where are the days when the reporters reported the truth and fact, whether they agreed or not. When I was younger, reporters left their personal emotions out of the facts and merely reported fact. I would like to challenge WTOC, "The Southeast News Leader", to step up and be a real leader. I am challenging WTOC to be a leader in true and factual reporting, unbiased and objective. I am challenging WTOC to leave their critique out of it and just report the facts. Let the smart citizens of Georgia decide for themselves how they feel about a story.

Here's to you Mr. Williams, WJCL and Fox 28 News, thank you and Kudos. Mr. Williams took the time to hang around the rally to watch, listen, and talk with many of the attendees and speakers. He did not rush in and buzz out. He did not just fill the article with fluff. He took time out of his Sunday to actually get the story and then write about it. WJCL and Fox28. I appreciate his hard work and his integrity. I also appreciate the integrity of WJCL and Fox. WJCL and Fox, You knew what you were doing when you hired Dave Williams. This is the type of reporting the citizens need and rely on to get the facts. WTOC, we are smart enough to make our own decisions and come to our own conclusions. At least WJCL and Fox are capable of recognizing this. We have a lot of respect for that. Who will you choose to rely on when news hits the surface? Do you want someone else making the decision for you? That sounds an awful lot like the government today. Or, would you like to be able to "choose" for yourself. Do you want a station that recognizes your ability to think and make inteligent decisions? Then to you, I say rely on WJCL and Fox. If you would rather lazily depend on someone to decide for you, then go to WTOC. If you want fluff and bias, then go to WTOC. As for me and my family, we will be watching WJCL and Fox!  http://shar.es/17D3z
