Mission of the Month-Wounded Warrior Project

This month I would like to focus on the Wounded Warrior Project.  Please consider taking the time to visit their web site and read the personal stories of the soldiers who have benefited from this spectacular program and then donate to this very special cause.  Obviously because I am the wife of an American Soldier this is dear to me.  Beyond that though, the daily, personal sacrifices that each soldier puts on the line for you and me is a price far above what any of us can imagine.  Many of us have ever come close to paying similar sacrifices.  These patriots leave loved ones behind, the comforts of a free land, security, and a government that mostly run as a democracy to go fight a ruthless enemy in the very pits of hell.  Their living conditions do not come close to meeting our haughty standards.  Yet, these patriots selflessly continue to volunteer to return to fight for our freedom and our future.  When these men and women are wounded often times our government has fallen short of meeting their needs to the end.  Many times the injuries sustained are life-time injuries and require some permanent change of life style and on going medical care.  For this reason I am asking that you consider making a contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Once you have made your contribution, please invite your friends to do the same.  Let's try to reach a goal of $1,000.00 February 28, 2010.  May God bless you.  May God bless our troops and their families.  May God bless America.
