Mission of the Month-Wounded Warrior Project

This month I would like to focus on the Wounded Warrior Project. Please consider taking the time to visit their web site and read the personal stories of the soldiers who have benefited from this spectacular program and then donate to this very special cause. Obviously because I am the wife of an American Soldier this is dear to me. Beyond that though, the daily, personal sacrifices that each soldier puts on the line for you and me is a price far above what any of us can imagine. Many of us have ever come close to paying similar sacrifices. These patriots leave loved ones behind, the comforts of a free land, security, and a government that mostly run as a democracy to go fight a ruthless enemy in the very pits of hell. Their living conditions do not come close to meeting our haughty standards. Yet, these patriots selflessly continue to volunteer to return to fight for our freedom and our future. When these men and women are wounded often times our government has fallen short of meeting their needs to the end. Many times the injuries sustained are life-time injuries and require some permanent change of life style and on going medical care. For this reason I am asking that you consider making a contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project. Once you have made your contribution, please invite your friends to do the same. The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

PURPOSE

To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women,
To help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and
To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

Our Prayers go out to the all Families of the Fallen

Our hearts and prayers go out to all of the families affected by the great loss in Afghanistan. We are forever indebted to the brave men and women who voluntarily choose to put their lives on the line for us every single day. Many, paying the ultimate sacrifice, never expect or seek a word of gratitude or praise. These courageous warriors move in the stealth of the night, often never receiving any recognition for their valiant service and duty to G-d, nation, and man. May G-d hold their families close and may He hold them tightly as He shares with them in His thrown room in heaven. Though the earth is void now of many great men, our heavens are rejoicing for such brave, noble and honorable HEROES!
