Congressman King: Here’s the Beef!
How a missed opportunity could have been a slam dunk.
As the chairman of the most important House committee charged with countering Islamist radicalization, it was incumbent on Representative Peter King to present compelling and substantive information that would raise the bar on the topic.
The hearings, however, did not accomplish this. Although the title of the day’s proceedings was totally focused on radicalization, King presented no witnesses to define even what radicalization is, seemingly the basic starting point.
Rather, witness testimony provided only a few location-specific insights (Nashville and Minneapolis), or general comments indicating that there are individuals and organizations in American Muslim communities who radicalize Muslim youth.
This testimony added little to the knowledge of Americans beyond what they already intuitively know from the numerous news stories regarding American Muslims who have attacked, or attempted to attack, the homeland — including American al-Qaeda commander Anwar al-Awalaki, American Nidal Hasan of the Ft. Hood massacre, American Najibullah Zazi of the plot to blow up New York subway cars, or American Faisal Shahzad of the failed plot to detonate an SUV in Times Square.
Because critics characterized the hearings as the new McCarthyism and/or the result of paranoid fantasy, the minimum required of Representative King was a new substantive revelation — a slam dunk. He had the time and staff to deliver, but didn’t.
The Obama administration refuses to admit that violent Islamist extremism has anything to do with Islam, but it has no problem focusing on al-Qaeda as a violent terrorist organization.
So, if King had just concentrated on al-Qaeda, the hearings could have scored a slam dunk by revealing that the very same ideology that radicalized Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is used as mandatory study material by two of the most prominent national American Muslim organizations, as you’ll see below.
This ideology was created by Sayyid Qutb, the virulent Muslim Brother theorist and father of the modern jihad movement, and disseminated in his Islamist manifesto Milestones (1964).
The power of this seditious book is demonstrated by the fact that Egyptian prosecutors obtained a conviction against Qutb based almost exclusively on submitting passages taken from its pages as evidence in the trial. Upon being convicted, Qutb was sentenced to death and hung on August 29, 1966.
So what does Milestones say that is so radical? It absolutely and clearly states that democracies and all other “man-made” systems are the enemies of Islam, that only Sharia law can be obeyed, that Islam must rule the world, and that violent offensive jihad must be launched by a vanguard of Salafi-jihadi leaders as the only way to reestablish an Islamic state.
Now, let’s take a look at the facts Congressman King could have marshaled to prove that Qutb’s ideas radicalized Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawhiri, and that this ideology is actively used to indoctrinate American Muslims on a national basis.
To begin with, Congressman King only needed to call witnesses from among his colleagues on the 9/11 Commission to learn about the radicalizing influence Qutb had on Osama bin Laden, as, in its final report, the Commission bluntly stated that “Bin Laden also relies heavily on the Egyptian writer Sayyid Qutb”.
The Commission also clearly described Qutb’s emphasis on violence, stating that in Qutb’s ideology “[a]ll Muslims — as he defined them — therefore must take up arms in this fight.”
Further cementing Qutb’s stature in the jihadi community, King could have entered into the record the fact that Qutb is praised by Anwar al-Awlaki and the influential jihadi cleric Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, who most recently made the news on March 6, 2011, when a crowd of 300 al-Qaeda supporters marched in Amman, Jordan, demanding his release from prison.
The congressman could then have called witnesses to show the family connection between Qutb and bin Laden’s deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri.
Zawahiri became a Muslim Brother at the age of 14, and he was personally introduced to Sayyid Qutb through his uncle Mahfouz Azzam — Qutb’s student, protégé, lawyer, executor of his estate, and one of the last people to see Qutb in prison before he was executed.
Using Zawahiri’s own words, King could have illustrated how Qutb radicalized Zawhairi, entering into the record Zawahiri’s book Knights Under the Prophet’s Banner, published in December 2001, in which Zawahiri states that Sayyid Qutb inspired him to create his first jihad cell because
Sayyid Qutb’s call for loyalty to God’s oneness and to acknowledge God’s sole sovereignty was the spark that ignited the Islamic revolution against the enemies of Islam at home and abroad. The bloody chapters of this revolution continue to unfold day after day.King could have followed with testimony by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Steve Coll, who reported in his book The Bin Ladens that Osama bin Laden was recruited into a Muslim Brotherhood cell by his Syrian physical education teacher at the elite At Thaghr Model School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where Osama and his best friend at the time, Muhammad Jamal Khalifa, spent hours studying Sayyid Qutb’s writings together.
Coll and others could also have testified that when Osama bin Laden matriculated at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, he attended classes presented by Mohammad Qutb, the younger brother of Sayyid Qutb, who championed Sayyid’s work in Milestones. It was also here that Osama began his long and close association with the renowned Jordanian Muslim Brother jihadi Abdullah Azzam, who was also a student of Qutb.
Azzam, bin Laden’s college professor and mentor, drew bin Laden to Peshawar, Pakistan, where the two founded the Maktab al Khidamat (the Services Bureau). This network, which later became the worldwide infrastructure of al-Qaeda, established a network of offices around the world that recruited and organized Muslims to fight in the jihad against the Soviets in Afghanistan.
The above certainly establishes that Qutb’s ideology is a key element of radicalization, but what does any of this have to do with radicalization in the United States?
The answer is that two of the most powerful and prestigious national American Muslim organizations, the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), both part of the American Muslim Brotherhood network, absolutely require their most active members to study Qutb’s Salafi-jihadi ideology in study circles that must be overseen by an instructor to ensure that they come to the proper ideological conclusions.
This indoctrination is a fact that King could have definitively proved by entering into the record information provided on ICNA’s own website.
This would have been a slam dunk — one made even sweeter because Qutb’s ideology in Milestones is not open to defense by Islamists or political critics who might try to argue that his ideas are taken out of context. Rather, it is a well-documented Islamist revolutionary creed that calls for the destruction of all non-Islamic societies through offensive jihad, and it is demonstrably the ideology of al-Qaeda.
If King had used his hearings to connect these dots, he could have gone a long way to undercutting the legitimacy of the Muslim Brotherhood network in the United States, he could have begun to educate Americans on the ideological elements of radicalization, including its Salafi religious roots, and he would have discharged his duty to provide the substantive and compelling information required to raise the bar on this vital aspect of our national security.

Here is another alert about potential danger within the U.S. from tribes, this time from Pashtun tribes in North Waziristan in Northwest Pakistan. Importantly, a declaration of Jihad against America by tribal leaders has the same strength for tribesmen living in the U.S. as it does for their brothers in Waziristan, and the tribes could very well call upon their brothers resident in the US to carry out the tribe's Jihad.
As a frame of reference, Faisal Shazad, the Times Square Bomber is a Pashtun from Pakistan's Kashmir region, a center of jihad for decades, and al Qaeda operative Najibullah Zazi is a Pashtun from the Paktia region of Afghanistan adjacent to Waziristan and the FATA. Zazi and his family subsequently moved to Peshawar, Pakistan before he moved to the U.S.
The Pashtun tribes concerned are the large Wazir and Dawar, as well as smaller tribes such as the Gurbaz, Kharsins, Sadigis, and Mahsuds.
Those among you with counter terrorism responsibilities should take particular notice of any tribesmen from this area, and Northwest Pakistan more generally, in your jurisdiction.
North Waziristan drone strike: Tribesmen vow ‘jihad’ against US Bureau Report | From the Newspaper

PESHAWAR, March 18: Reacting to the deadly drone attack on a traditional jirga in North Waziristan Agency that killed 40 civilians, the tribal elders on Friday announced waging jihad (holy war) against the US and its allies.
Speaking during a hurriedly called press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, head of the North Waziristan Peace Committee Malik Jalal Sarhadi Wazir described Thursday’s drone attack as a barbaric and inhuman act against innocent people. He urged the tribesmen to stand up against the atrocities of US and its stooges, who had been indulging in the worst form of human rights violation.
“We have allowed our youth to carry out suicide attacks on Americans and we will show to the world how to take revenge for the atrocities on our tribesmen,” the tribal elder said and added that they were now compelled to wage jihad against the US and its agents sitting in the country.
Rejecting reports about the presence of al Qaeda and Taliban in Fata, Mr Wazir said that there was no safe haven for militants in the tribal areas of Pakistan. He said that the American administration itself had endorsed the presence of about 70 per cent al Qaeda top leadership in Afghanistan.
He said that several missiles were fired from drones on a peace jirga in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, on Thursday, killing 40 innocent civilians and injuring 50 others.
“We will take revenge from the US and its allies as our people are mourning everywhere in the entire Waziristan due to the attack,” the tribal elder said. He also criticised the coalition government and termed it equally responsible for the bloodshed in parts of the country.
Flanked by several tribesmen, including Malik Faridullah and Malik Niaz Daraz, Mr Wazir said that the tribesmen would not sit silent over the barbarism of the allied forces and that they would start a jihad for taking revenge from the Americans and the ‘corrupt rulers of Pakistan’. “We are patriotic Pakistanis, but we are being forced to take up arms under a well-planned conspiracy,” he said and claimed that Haqqani and Gul Bahadur groups had no presence in the tribal area. He regretted that the government did not bother to show any reaction to the continued US drone attacks and the killing of innocent tribesmen, including women and children.
The tribal elder urged the media to avoid negative propaganda against tribal people in an attempt to appease the US and its allies. Blackwater operatives are behind sabotage acts in the country, he said and claimed that the rulers were protecting them. “We want justice and we will not accept dollars as blood money for our dead,” he said. Mr Wazir stressed the need for expelling US operatives from the country and said the tribal people would no more remain silent on drone attacks.
The Muslim Brotherhood in America: Deputy National Security Advisor McDonough Meets with Hamas Support Entity (From BigPeace)
It is being reported that on Sunday, March 6th, Denis McDonough, the Deputy National Security Advisor to the President of the United States attended the ADAMS Interfaith/Government Summit in Sterling, Virginia.
The implications of this are frightening and shocking – and may be criminal.
ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) is led by its Executive Director, Mohammad Majid. Majid is also the President of the largest Muslim Brotherhood / Hamas support entity in North America – the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
A significant amount of evidence has been entered into federal terrorism trials revealing ISNA is not only the largest Muslim Brotherhood entity in North America, but is a cover and support organization for Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement). Hamas is designated as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” (FTO) by the United States Government.
Specifically, Muslim Brotherhood (MB) documents were entered into evidence at the largest successfully prosecuted terrorism financing and Hamas trial in U.S. history (US v Holy Land Foundation, Dallas, 2008 – hereafter “HLF”). One of the documents, “An Explanatory Memorandum,” was written in 1991 by a top Hamas official living in the United States (Mohamed Akram), and was discovered in 2004 during an FBI raid where the archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S. were discovered at the Annandale, Virginia home of another leading Hamas official and Muslim Brother (Ismail Elbarasse). This is the strategic document for the Muslim Brotherhood in North America, and was approved by the MB’s Shura Council and Organizational Conference. It is an official MB document which was entered into evidence during the HLF trial and stipulated to by the defense that it was what it purports to be – the MB’s strategy document for North America.
The document states the Brotherhood is waging a “Civilization-Jihadist process” which is a “kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
The last page of this Memorandum is a list of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends” – it lists 29 of the Brotherhood front entities as of 1991. This list constitutes the most prominent Muslim organizations in North America today – despite it being nearly 20 years old. The list includes the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
A Historical MB document also entered into evidence at HLF and stipulated to by the defense reveal ISNA was created to be a “nucleus” for the Islamic Movement in North America.
At a 1993 meeting of Hamas officials in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which was covered by the FBI (surveillance/recorded conversations/photography), recorded meetings revealed the Hamas leaders discussed using ISNA as an official cover for their activities.
Numerous financial documents were entered into evidence at HLF detailing ISNA’s direct support for Hamas over a period of years. Because of the totality of the documentary, testimonial, financial, and other evidence at the US v HLF trial, ISNA was named an unindicted co-conspirator in that case. “Unindicted co-conspirator” indicates the prosecution has enough evidence to prosecute, but has made a decision not to do so at this time. It should be noted there are 246 Unindicted Co-conspirators in the HLF case.
In 2007, ISNA, along with the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) filed a memorandum to the Federal court in the Northern District of Texas asking to have their names removed from the unindicted co-conspirator list. A memorandum filed by the prosecutors on 7/10/08 stated: “ISNA and NAIT, in fact, shared more with HLF than just a parent organization. They were intimately connected with the HLF and its assigned task of providing financial support to HAMAS (emphasis added).
The judge did not remove ISNA from the unindicted co-conspirator list.
Following further petitions to the court by ISNA, a 2009 ruling by U.S. Federal Judge Solis, unsealed in July 2010, stated as follows:
“During the early years of OLF/HLF’s operation, OLF raised money and supported Hamas through a bank account that it held with ISNA and NAIT. Indeed, OLF operated from within ISNA in Plainfield, Indiana where Defendant Baker was employed. ISNA checks deposited into the ISNA/NAIT account for OLF were often made payable to ‘the Palestinian Mujahadeen,’ the original name for the Hamas military wing.” (emphasis added)
“The Government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT with HLF, the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), and with Hamas.” (emphasis added)
Judge Solis did not remove ISNA from the list of unindicted co-conspirators.
Whether ISNA is or is not an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the HLF case is actually not as germane as is the massive amount of evidence clearly indicating: (1) ISNA is the leading Muslim Brotherhood entity in the U.S. which seeks to overthrow our Constitutional government; (2) ISNA is a Hamas support entity; (3) no evidence exists, except the “word” of the leaders of ISNA, that ISNA has ceased doing what it was created to do.
The remarks made by Deputy National Security Advisor McDonough on 3/6/11 at the ADAMS Center are on the White House website for all to read. His comments began with: “Thank you (Imam Majid), also, for being one of our nation’s leading voices for the values that make America so strong, especially religious freedom and tolerance. Whether it’s here at the ADAMS Center, or as President of the Islamic Society of North America, you’ve spoken with passion and eloquence, not only about your own Islamic faith, but for the need to build bridges of understanding and trust between faiths.”
So, Mr. McDonough knows Mohammad Majid is the leader of ISNA.
His remarks further included: “Over the past two years, I—along with my White House colleagues—have benefited from the advice of many of your organizations through our Office of Public Engagement. Because, after all, your communities have the same concerns as all Americans—the economy, education, health care, the safety of our children and our country.”
Actually Mr. McDonough, the Muslim Brotherhood is only concerned with its objectives, which are the same as Al Qaeda’s – the re-establishment of the global Islamic State (Caliphate), under which Shariah (Islamic Law) is enforced. The HLF related rulings and all the evidence are available to the public via the Northern District of Texas’ own website, so the information is readily accessible.
Again, we must ask the same tired question – why are those charged with our national security, violating their Constitutional oaths to do so and taking actions which appear to support our enemies?
02MAR2011
On Sunday March 6th at 3pm, Denis McDonough, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor will attend the ADAMS Interfaith/Government Summit in Sterling, VA.
ADAMS is the All Dulles Area Mosque Society. Its Executive Director is Mohammed Majid Ali - also known as the President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization in North America. ADAMS is an MB org in its own right - the Chairman of the Board until a few years ago was Ahmed Totanji, one of the original Brothers to come to the US and a senior leader in the Movement here.
Per the massive evidence revealed at the US v Holy Land Foundation trial (Dallas, 2008 - the largest successfully prosecuted Hamas and Terrorism financing trial in US History) ISNA is a Hamas support entity, which is why they are unindicted co-conspirators in the HLF trial. "Unindicted co-conspirator" means enough evidence exists to indict. ISNA's attempt to have their name removed from the unindicted co-conspirator list led the prosecution to summarize the evidence and state ISNA is a Hamas support entity - the judge ordered their name to remain on the list. In the Appellate ruling, Judge Solis state "ample evidence" exists linking ISNA to Hamas.
This is who the Assistant National Security Advisor for the United States sees fit to meet with.
We used to call folks like Mr. McDonough "traitors."
Why Do Islamic Groups Fear Hearings on Islamic Radicalization?
Because they are the radicalization problem. (Patrick Poole will be covering Thursday's hearings live on PJTV. And don't miss this PJTV FLASHBACK: "Roger Simon calls for congressional hearing on censorship of Islamic terminology")
The hysterics over Thursday’s hearings on Islamic radicalization by the House Homeland Security Committee has reached epic proportions. Islamic groups have likened the hearings to a new era of McCarthyism; James Zogby of the Arab American Institute wrote in an editorial in a Pakistani newspaper that the hearings were going to result in increased radicalization and that Islamophobia was a bigger threat than al-Qaeda; and at a rally against the hearings in New York City this past weekend Elaine Brower of the Movement for a Democratic Society claimed that Muslims would be murdered as a result of these hearings. They have even gone as far as attacking one Muslim leader who has agreed to appear, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, an authentic moderate and American patriot who was given the full Media Slanders treatment last week.
So what has the self-appointed representatives of the Muslim community so up in arms? Are Muslims really in danger from Congress asking questions about widespread radicalization inside the Muslim community? Or are these histrionics a continued attempt to silence the growing majority of Americans who are seeing the glaring discrepancies between the rhetoric of the leading Islamic organizations and the reality of a growing homegrown terror threat? Evidence seems clear that it’s the latter.
This feigned outrage exposes their hypocrisy. Where were the cries of Islamophobia from these same groups last March when a House Intelligence subcommittee held similar hearings on radicalization? There were none, because the House Democrats who then controlled the committee ensured that extremists and the useful idiots endorsed by Muslim Brotherhood front groups were allowed to speak. In fact, one of the speakers, Omar Alomari, community engagement officer from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, was fired two months after the hearing for lying about his prior employment with a foreign government during his background investigation.
This time around, looking at the witness list for this week’s hearings, all of the speakers save one (the father of the Little Rock killer, Carlos Bledsoe) have already testified before Congress (two, Keith Ellison and Frank Wolf, are members of Congress). So what is really going on? I suggest there are at least five reasons why Islamic groups and their leftist allies are opposed to the hearings this week.
1) These hearings challenge the Muslim Brotherhood’s political monopoly
Since the 1993 World Trade Center bombings a select group of Muslim organizations, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), have enjoyed a monopoly on political access to Congress and the White House.
But in recent years, legal actions by the FBI and federal prosecutors have revealed the extent that these organizations are controlled by the international Muslim Brotherhood and have an agenda to wage a “civilizational jihad” intending to “destroy Western civilization from within.” An FBI agent even testified during the Holy Land Foundation terrorism finance trial that CAIR is a front for the terrorist group Hamas. As a result of that evidence, the FBI severed ties with CAIR, but they still continue to work with MPAC, ISNA, and other terrorist front groups.
In response to these disclosures, members of Congress have begun to notice and ask questions about the government’s continued association with these Muslim groups and leaders, which poses a direct threat to their political power.
2) Their narrative is at war with reality
CAIR, MPAC, and the other usual suspects repeatedly claim a rise in hate crimes against Muslims, pointing to an increase atmosphere of “Islamophobia.” They blame congressional hearings, opposition to the Ground Zero mosque, counterterrorism training for law enforcement, or Glenn Beck (whatever their particular boogeyman is that day). But data from the FBI show that hate crimes directed at Muslims have been on a sharp decline since 9/11 and are extremely rare — a painfully inconvenient truth.
But you wouldn’t gather that by statements made by Islamic leaders, who repeatedly claim that the U.S. is engaged in a “war against Islam.” And where did they pick up that handy little talking point? Osama bin Laden.
3) Their agenda is increasingly in visible conflict with American values
The offended Islamic groups increasingly ask for special protections and preferences from the government and the public generally that strike at the heart the First Amendment’s protections against establishing religion. Many of these groups have followed their Wahhabi patrons in calling for the criminalization of “defamation of religion,” namely Islam, and seek to undermine the First Amendment right to free speech. Additionally, violent practices justified by Islamic law, such as wife-beating (Surah 4:34), have been cited in criminal cases to excuse such behavior. In one recent New Jersey case, a judge accepted one Muslim man’s explanation that a sexual assault on his wife was justified under Islamic law because she was required to submit (that verdict was overturned on appeal).
The result has been legislative efforts in a number of states to prohibit the use of Islamic law in American courts to exclude violent behavior, such as the anti-shariah state constitutional amendment last November in Oklahoma, which was approved by 70 percent of voters in that election. At least a dozen more states are considering such legislation.
4) Their faux “de-radicalization” efforts are increasingly irrelevant
As we saw in the terror cases of Ahmed Omar Abu Ali and the Pakistan 5 (among many others), it isn’t the marginal figures in the Muslim community that have decided to engage in terrorist acts, but the best and the brightest. Abu Ali, who was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for his role in an al-Qaeda plot to assassinate President Bush, was the valedictorian of his Islamic high school and a youth leader in his local mosque. Minneapolis resident Shirwa Ahmed, who became the first known American to conduct a suicide bombing, came from an upper middle class family and had attended college. If these individuals have proven impervious to “de-radicalization” efforts of these Islamic groups, why should we continue to listen to them at all?
One disturbing element has been the use of known extremists by the government as “de-radicalization experts.” Two examples I’ve already reported on. Yasir “Hoax of the Holocaust” Qadhi, who admitted to being on the terror watch list, was called upon by the National Counterterrorism Center to speak at one of their conferences on the topic of “de-radicalization.” Qadhi didn’t do so well, since would-be underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attended several two-week programs sponsored by Qadhi’s organization, AlMaghrib Institute. Another “expert” regularly called upon by government agencies is Mohamed Elibiary, who, among other things, spoke at a Dec. 2004 conference honoring Ayatollah Khomeini, has publicly praised terrorist leaders, and threatened a reporter for the Dallas Morning News who exposed his extremism.
Which brings me to my final point.
5) These Islamic groups ARE the radicalization problem
It has long been obvious that the Islamic groups and leaders screaming the loudest about the upcoming congressional hearings are not part of the solution of Islamic radicalization, but part of the problem.
Just last week here at Pajamas Media I reported on one of the largest mosques in America, Dar al-Hijrah in the Washington, D.C., area, which has been a virtual terrorist factory. Another prominent Islamic group, the Muslim Students Association (MSA), has been cited in a NYPD radicalization report as a “radicalization incubator,” and in an article published last August I recounted nearly a dozen and a half MSA leaders (not members, but elected leaders of the group) who have been convicted or are currently facing trial on terror charges.
One of the witnesses testifying this week in the radicalization hearings is Rep. Keith Ellison, the first ever Muslim elected to Congress. But his colleagues on the House Homeland Security Committee might want to ask why he allowed the Muslim American Society, which has been cited in court documents by the Department of Justice as “the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America,” to fund his hajj trip to Saudi Arabia in 2008. MAS has frequently been criticized for indoctrinating its members in violent jihadist ideology. At least one MAS member, their former national spokesman Randall Todd “Ismail” Royer, took that ideology seriously and trained in terror camps in Pakistan before 9/11. He is currently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence as part of a jihadist network that intended to launch attacks against American troops.
In conclusion, the most charitable explanation is that these Islamic groups have a pathetic record on combating Islamic radicalism. But the evidence overwhelmingly leads to the conclusion that the Islamic groups so vocally opposed to the congressional hearings are the source of the radicalization problem, not its solution. While their rhetoric claims that they are opposing a “new McCarthyism,” an “anti-Islamic witch hunt,” and/or “a rising tide of Islamophobia,” their opposition is really driven by self-preservation in the face of leading members of Congress and an American public that are no longer willing to buy their excuses and justifications for Islamic extremism.

This is a Commentary On Terrorism and Islamist Extremism
A Bold, Courageous Move to Confront Islamists In Britain
Published on March 10, 2011 by Nile Gardiner, Ph.D.Share
This weekend, British Prime Minister David Cameron delivered the most important speech of his premiership so far. His address to the Munich Security Conference was a powerful condemnation of a deadly Islamist ideology that threatens the very fabric of British society, as well as a wholehearted rejection of “the doctrine of state multiculturalism.” All the more remarkable, this bold speech came amid a suffocating culture of political correctness in the United Kingdom, which has frequently stifled open debate during the past two decades.
The British government has identified Islamist extremism as the number one threat to national security. Cameron was absolutely right to point out that “the biggest threat that we face comes from terrorist attacks… we have got to get to the root of the problem, and we need to be absolutely clear on where the origins of these terrorist attacks lie. That is the existence of an ideology, Islamist extremism.”
It is easy to see why these remarks were necessary. In 2009 British intelligence services revealed that there are 2,000 extremists involved in Islamist terrorist plots in the UK, with many more providing backing. MI6, the UK’s foreign intelligence agency, has since warned of a new wave of suicide bomb attacks by home-grown terrorists, with mounting fears over the radicalization of British Muslims.
In his speech Cameron called for an end to the self-imposed cultural segregation of some Muslim communities, calling on all Britons to adopt “a clear sense of shared national identity that is open to everyone.” He also made it clear that the days of engagement by the British government with extremist Islamic groups that claim to be moderate are over. This is a clear, and welcome, break with the lax policies of his Labour predecessors.
Prime Minister Cameron’s words in Munich were a huge step in the right direction. His government now needs to put them into action to ensure that the Islamist terrorist threat is emphatically defeated, both at home and abroad. That includes a commitment to winning the war in Afghanistan, and ensuring the Taliban do not retake power, as well as a determination to isolate the extremists at home, and crush the Al Qaeda networks that proliferate across the UK

Addressing Islam: The Muslim Brotherhood and Democracy
The entire apparatus of U.S.-Muslim dialogue is controlled by our enemies.
Page 1 of 2 Next -> View as Single Page
The national discourse is petty. Policymakers talk as though the problem were merely 500 terrorists cave-hopping around Waziristan. This is not so. The issue is societal. Europe is on the precipice of cultural implosion. The issue is also imminent. The entire Persian Gulf and Arab Levant is up for grabs. Atomic bombs are in question. Radical Islamists have entrenched themselves in the West’s political mainstream — even into the U.S. government. For decades, the Muslim Brotherhood has had more power within the United States than in Egypt.
Take Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi, a former advisor to President Clinton and the State Department. Amoudi also ingratiated himself to then-Governor George W. Bush. In the months after the 9/11 attacks, Amoudi was one of the Muslim “moderates” championed by the administration. He spoke at the Washington National Cathedral honoring the victims. Three years later, Amoudi was arrested for conspiring to work with al-Qaeda and Moammar Gaddafi of Libya in an assassination attempt on the Saudi king.
There’s Omar Ahmad, founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim organization in the United States. CAIR was involved with the Holy Land Foundation, an operation that guised charity funds as subsidies to terrorist groups. And then there’s Nihad Awad, the co-founder of CAIR. Awad is an operative of Hamas and yet served on Vice President Gore’s commission for aviation safety and security — the irony! — and was invited to stand alongside President Bush after 9/11. Ismail Elbarasse worked with Amoudi and was involved with the Holy Land Foundation. He also conspired with Hamas leader Mousa Marzook and the “Virginia Network,” a cell of Pakistani terrorists.
In 2004, Elbarasse was arrested. Documents seized in his basement revealed the Muslim Brotherhood’s archives for the United States. CAIR is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Students Association (MSA) is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas is the Muslim Brotherhood. And the Muslim Brotherhood spawned Egyptian Islamic Jihad and subsequently al-Qaeda.
These are just a few of the men running the Islamic mosques, schools, campus organizations, and charities in the United States. They are all avowed jihadists and see no distinction between Palestinian “resistance” and al-Qaeda terrorism. The entire apparatus of U.S.-Muslim dialogue is controlled by our enemies. And we have accepted this — so much so that to acknowledge this reality is political suicide.
It’s time to address this. Embassies have been burned, diplomats and newspaper editors have cowered, cartoonists have been hunted down, film directors have been hacked, operas have been canceled, and books have been taken off the shelf. We are losing the Enlightenment out of fear of offending others. Canada is flirting with Islamic law. Europe is allowing “group rights” in unassimilated Muslim ghettos. That is to say, their democratic constitutions do not apply for those who wish to abide by Islamic law. Therefore, the legality of murdering one’s daughter differs depending on what country you originally come from, or your personal convictions about the truths of the universe.
In the United States, there were terrorist attempts on Penn Station, at a military recruitment center in Arkansas, on a federal building in Illinois, against other landmarks in Manhattan, and on a Dallas skyscraper. Then there was the Christmas Day plot against Northwest Airlines Flight 253, which would have killed more than 300 people had the al-Qaeda operative been more competent; the Times Square plot, which would have been worse than the Oklahoma City bombing had the operative been more competent; and the Fort Hood massacre, which could have been avoided had we been less afraid to appear intolerant of intolerance. And all this happened in just the past year and a half. They’re here.
There is the prevalent argument that this is not representative of real Islam. Fine. Then let’s at least have a discussion as to what “real Islam” actually is. Surely it makes little sense to define all the good things as real Islam and all the bad things as a perversion of real Islam, no? Can we no longer think objectively? Have we become that terrified into silence?
The truth is this: Islam is not merely a religion. Islam is a complete way of life: theological, political, social, and legal. Islamic law is the literal word of the Koran, which is supposed to be the direct word of God. It claims to be unalterable. There are no metaphors. It claims to be timeless. What was true in the seventh century is true today and cannot be reinterpreted to conform to contemporary mores. Should the Koran omit something of concern, it states to follow the Hadith (59:7) — or the life, traditions, and actions of Muhammad, the perfect man, God’s final messenger.
Should the Hadith omit something, Muslims are to follow the Ijma, or the unanimous consensus of Islamic scholars. This is why, even amongst the disparate schools of Islam, there are no distinctions of Islamic law. All of these interpretative matters have been addressed long ago. It is what it is and it cannot be anything else.
The Koran is said to be progressive revelation. Should one verse instruct friendliness to non-Muslims and another instruct the murder of non-Muslims, the doctrine of abrogation is to be applied. In other words, since there can be no contradictions within the Koran — that is the book’s foundation — the most recent revelation is the one that is applicable. Unfortunately, the most recent Koranic revelations are the unfriendly ones; the homicidal ones. “Jihad” is not a yoga-like exercise for internal spiritual discovery. It is the killing of non-Muslims and the enforcement of Islamic rule throughout the world. “Peace” is not coexistence. It is Islamic dominion over the planet. “Freedom” is not individual liberty. It is submission to the supernatural.
Where is the United States to go from here? We ought to shut down the internal jihadist infrastructure controlling the American-Muslim community. We ought to challenge the ten-year plan of the 57-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference to stifle freedom of speech, thought, and expression in the West. We ought to more passionately defend the superiority of democratic and liberal values — in ethics, in philosophy, and in practice. We ought to call for explanations on behalf of the Islamic world. What is it they actually believe? What actions are they willing to take on behalf of these beliefs? Rather than tell them what they want to hear, we ought to begin insisting they tell us what we want to hear.
And finally, we ought to devise a foreign policy whereby we officially oppose the inclusion of fascist theocratic movements in new democratic governments — whether Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Taliban in Afghanistan, or the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt — and proclaim our support for true freedom. As with Hitler’s Germany, democracies can easily be destroyed in their infancy through the tactic of “one man, one vote, one time.”
There’s no need to be bigoted or mean-spirited. We can do this, as Reagan did with Soviet communism, with the confidence of a happy heart. Good humor, in fact, might go a long way. We should distinguish a doctrine from its adherents and respect the world’s Muslims enough to be honest with them. But first, we must be honest with ourselves. They’ll respect that more.
New Study Exposes Immigration and Open Borders As Top National Security Threat
By Bonn Industries
Dated: Mar 02, 2011
A stunning new study exposes dangerous domestic terrorism threats portending a major mass death
catastrophe on US soil due to unlawful immigration, open borders, and government infiltrations by
criminal and state enemies.
FACT SHEET: APA Research and Analysis Report (APA) (scheduled for limited release to lawmakers
March 2011)
The APA study highlights include some of the following:
• A terrorist borne mass death event (MDE) is now more likely than not to occur on US soil.
• Potential terrorist are being approved for US citizenship under the current legal immigration system.
• Terrorist aliens are confirmed using the Mexican border to gain unlawful entry to the US.
• The federal government has classified such terrorist border-infiltration reports and is hiding the facts from
the US citizenry.
• Hezbollah is working with Mexican cartels and rogue elements of the Mexican military.
• Islamic terrorist networks are confirmed inside the US.
• Terrorist currently have operational capability to affect nuclear and biological attacks on US soil.
• Illegal immigration black markets, local, state, and federal governments and major businesses are directly
aiding terrorists through the process of unlawfully lending aid to illegal aliens.
• US borders are operating between 6% and 40% security integrity levels, offering no significant barrier to
terrorist infiltrations.
• Evidence shows Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has likely been infiltrated by foreign enemies
and criminal agents.
• DHS is knowingly and illegally aiding and abetting hundreds of thousands of felony perpetrating illegal
aliens to avoid criminal prosecutions.
• DHS has instituted unlawful policies and practices that are aiding declared enemies of the United States.
• And more.
APA will present its evidence and findings to select members of the House and Senate in March, along
with solution recommendations designed to abate most threats. If the APA Solutions are enacted by
Congress, the benefit projections include (within months):
• A 98% reduction of the current domestic terrorist threat.

PR Log - Global Press Release Distribution
• Borders secured with 95% or higher integrity levels.
• Illegal immigration permanently ended and resolved.
• Legal immigration integrity levels boosted by 95%.
• $100 billion federal budget reduction (yearly) opportunity.
• National unemployment rate reduced by 2 to 3 percentage points.
• No new agencies, programs, or budgeting required to implement most solution aspects or options.
More information, as it becomes available, will be made on the APA web-page: http://

"None of us is as smart as all of us"
Sir Winston Churchill1899-Mohammedanism
Winston Churchill delivered the short speech below in 1899 when he was young soldier; "A quote from an 1899 book by Winston Churchill, "The River War", in which he describes Muslims he apparently observed during Kitchener's campaign in the Sudan"
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.
No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
